BEGINNINGS

"In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities, in the expert's mind there are few." -Shunryu Suzuki

This quote came to mind as I sat here thinking of all the possibilities for a new yoga studio. Even though we may have been doing certain jobs or tasks for a long time, when we try something new, we become beginner's again.

A fresh start can leave us wide eyed with all the possibilities. Is there really such a thing as an expert? When we have the mindset that we know everything (or know someone like that), we become close minded, thinking there is nothing new to learn.

So as I sit here, coming up with all these new ideas, I consider myself a student. There is always something new to learn in life.
