
FREEZING AND PAUSING
Hi Yogi’s,
This week in Gentle Yoga will we practice FREEZING NEGATIVE ENERGY and taking MOMENTS OF PAUSE.
Ever notice when we're around people that radiate negative energy how easy it is for that negativity to rub off on us? What can we do? Freeze it. Here are a few tips as you head into your week:
REMEMBER:
People are energy. Thoughts are energy. Part of loving ourselves is not ingesting toxins. Negative energy is toxic. Don’t stress others out by sending negative energy to them. Learn to tell when negative energy is stressing you, and then learn to tell it to freeze.
MOMENTS OF PAUSE
It’s in the moments of pause, the moments of quiet, that we can listen. When we listen, we hear. Our days are so busy, how often do we actually pause, think about things, and breathe?
TRY THESE:
Set your alarm for 5 minutes earlier in the morning. Open your eyes and express gratitude. You’re alive and that’s a positive. Set your intention for your day. Basically, what do you want to accomplish that day and how do you want to feel? Take 5 long deep breaths in and out. Smile for no reason. Forgive yourself for yesterday’s mistakes.
End of day pause. Whether you are just arriving home from work, have worked online at home, taken care of kids, cleaned, or chauffeured, take a few minutes to unwind at the end of your day. If you’re pulling up at your house, sit in your car for a minute. Don’t let negative energy follow you in the house.
Moms and dads, if you’ve been with your kids all day, stressed over homework, appointments, lock yourself in the bathroom for a minute, or go sit in your garage, DO IT! Another option is that when you get into bed, close your eyes, breathe and pause, breathe and pause.
