
Love yourself enough to relax
Part of loving ourselves is taking care of our body. Eating right, exercising, but how about relaxing?
In the hustle and bustle of daily life, it's hard to find time to unwind. Hard, but so important! Just turning on the news can cause a stress reaction. Think about it....can you tell when your body is tense? I never really thought about it until I started taking yoga. Now, I'm tuned in to how my body feels, and know when it's time to take a break and let myself relax.
I'm excited to add Restorative Yoga to the schedule, either in person or virtually. This class is to relax and recharge your body by tapping into the Parasympathetic Nervous System. The PNS gets us out of "fight or fight" and allows us to lower our blood pressure, heart rate, and deepen our connection to our bodies and breath.
Here's the deal...Class is every other Thursday at 5:30pm, starting this week, February 17th. Please dress comfy whether virtually or in person. Seriously, pjs or sweats are perfect for this class. We will be using props to support the body as postures will be held for 5 to 10 minutes. Most of the time, no stretch is felt, it's simply time to reset and rest. Please bring a pillow (bed or couch pillow) and two blankets. I'll provide the blocks and straps.
