The beauty of mind body fitness is it's not all or nothing. Do you remember who you were as a kid? I was a kid that ran around on the playground, took hikes with my family, and was dropped off at the roller skating rink every Sunday with my brother. I was a mover and I bet to some extent you were too.

As adults, we've been on the other side of this, where we want to sit around all day and not move. The demands of life have fatigued us and our bodies need rest.

So where did our younger selves go? They are still there! They're tucked away behind life's pressures, too much caffeine, too little sleep, and not enough hydration. As we age, our fitness choices may change (I don't even know the last time I went roller skating) but the great part is that mind body fitness is not all or nothing!

You can do a 15 minute seated series on your mat, or a 45 minute cardio routine. When mind body fitness is done right, it boosts our vitality and gives us more energy. So use movement, even if it's a small amount, it really is energy medicine.

We continue or Yamas and Niyamas series. The first Niyama, (observances and guidelines for how to live your life off the yoga mat), Saucha means purity or cleanliness. Remove the clutter in your life with Lisa this Monday 04/17.

Journey Through the Chakras

We focus on the Third Chakra, the Solar Plexus, in our Gentle Yoga classes. Join us Wednesday's at 6:45pm and Friday's at 8:00am. The color is yellow and we will be doing core work this week.

Beginner Barre Workshop Friday May 5th at 5:30pm

We are so excited for this one! Trying a new class can be intimidating, we get it! That's why we have created this 75 minute Beginner Barre Workshop with Lisa.

In the first 20-25 minutes, you will learn the basics of Barre and the different ranges of motion used to strengthen, tone, and challenge the body. You will be introduced to the various equipment that helps enhance your workout, such as light weights, Pilates balls, resistance bands, and gliders. This will be followed by a 45 minute Barre class, utilizing the skills you have learned. Barre combines strength, cardio, Pilates, yoga, and dance for a full body workout. You DO NOT have to be a dancer or graceful to take Barre. This is a LOW IMPACT workout, (no jumping), making it easier on the joints. To register click this link:
